Before joining BGV, Shiri served as Operating Partner at Climatech Global Ventures (CGV), an early-stage venture platform backing AI-enabled climate and energy technologies with Israel–US go-to-market strategies.
Prior to her venture capital career, Shiri led operations for the BIRD Foundation in the southern United States and headed activities of the US–Israel Energy Center, managing binational innovation programs and partnering with corporates, government agencies, and research institutions. In these roles, she gained hands-on experience navigating complex innovation, funding, and regulatory environments, including the wave of climate- and energy-related legislation in the US, and supporting companies as they accessed non-dilutive funding and strategic partners.
Earlier in her career, Shiri was a researcher at the Samuel Neaman Institute for National Policy Research, where she was part of the Environmental and Industrial Excellence group. She conducted and published multiple studies on global climate-tech industry trends, competitive positioning, barriers to scale, regulatory frameworks, and policy recommendations. Recognized for her expertise in climate and energy innovation, she advised the Israeli Ministry of Economy on market analyses and policies to support the growth and global expansion of climate-tech companies.
Shiri has been actively involved in mentoring founders and early-stage teams through seminars and one-on-one engagements, with a particular focus on helping companies refine global go-to-market strategies and navigate cross-border partnerships. Her extensive network across the US and Israeli tech ecosystems provides access to potential partners, investors, and innovation programs that support portfolio companies in scaling internationally.
Shiri holds an M.Sc. with honors from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology’s Solid-State Institute, where she specialized in semiconductor nanocrystals.
