Ron Sege is an Operating Partner at Benhamou Global Ventures (BGV). Ron has more than 37 years of operating experience with disruptive offerings in the Enterprise IT market, in established public companies and venture-backed startups. Ron has extensive cross-border management experience, managing operations in China, UK, Continental Europe and Israel. Ron specializes in go-to-market strategy and tactics, having started his career in Field Operations at ROLM Corporation and 3Com.

He later moved into Division General Management and President, CEO and Chairman roles in both public and private companies. He has deep insights into the telecom market (ROLM Corporation), Enterprise Networking and Cyber Security (3Com Corporation), Wireless Technologies (3Com and Tropos Networks) and Industrial IOT (Echelon Corporation). Ron has participated or led 4 sell-side M&A deals and more than 10 buy-side deals.

He is currently on the Board of Ubiquiti Networks (NASDAQ:UBNT) and the Advisory Board of McRock Capital Industrial IOT (IIoT) Venture Fund. Ron previously served on the public Boards of 3Com Corporation and Echelon Corporation and the private Boards of Ellacoya Networks and Tropos Networks. Ron has also been on the Boards of non-profit groups Silicon Valley Education Foundation, Silicon Valley Leadership Group and TheatreWorks Silicon Valley. Ron has 4 children and splits his time between Vail, Colorado where his daughter is a downhill ski racer, and Silicon Valley.
