Bayshore Networks Applauded by Frost & Sullivan for Its Comprehensive Cyber Security Platform, Lighthouse

Based on its recent analysis of the North American industrial network security solutions market, Frost & Sullivan recognizes Bayshore Networks with the 2018 North America Customer Value Leadership Award. The company delivers a range of benefits to industrial organizations through its automated, comprehensive, and customizable operational technology (OT) security solution, Lighthouse. The platform empowers customers to increase productivity, safety, security, and revenue, all while achieving a high return on investment and low total cost of ownership.

“Bayshore’s Lighthouse Active OT platform is an automated security protection solution that performs continuous, passive monitoring to defend a client’s OT ecosystem against malicious cyber-attacks,” said Danielle VanZandt, Industry Analyst at Frost & Sullivan. “Its solution uniquely enforces active OT protection policies across its entire product suite, and is easy to deploy and integrate with legacy OT systems. Bayshore is the leading ICS cybersecurity provider to offer real-time, automated protection throughout a customer’s OT network.”

Lighthouse includes a machine learning component that observes an organization’s equipment and network activities and then incorporates that data as part of the customer’s customized solution, allowing the client to tailor the policies and protocols further to fit its operations. When a potential threat presents itself, Lighthouse will alert operators so they may investigate and resolve issues before they escalate. The Lighthouse platform automatically discovers machinery and devices on a client’s network, which eliminates the need to map asset inventory manually.

Through the solution’s analytic capabilities, customers can identify and monitor equipment based on an organization’s pre-determined set of security policies and optimized operational standards. It also enables security personnel to export data reports in CSV format, allowing for customized analytics and reporting. Furthermore, Bayshore Networks boasts a robust partner network and engages in close collaboration with industry experts, which helps the company develop cutting-edge technology and advanced features and capabilities. It recently signed AutomaTech as a new partner and will be delivering solutions through other distributors in the near future.

“In 2018, the company released a secure remote access solution, Bayshore Beacon™, for OT ecosystems, offering remote access through a secure connection. It also announced this week that it has released SCADAFuse™, a lower-cost turnkey protection tool for critical assets, which uses the same core technology as Lighthouse but with fewer options for customized policy rules. Bayshore Networks plans to release Compass™ in 3Q19, which will provide the benefits of a traditional hardware data diode while accommodating a spectrum of flexible data transfer options into and out of OT networking environments,” noted VanZandt. “The variety of customer-focused products and its commitment to continuous innovation make Bayshore richly deserving of Frost & Sullivan’s Customer Value Leadership Award.”

Each year, Frost & Sullivan presents this award to the company that demonstrates excellence in implementing strategies that proactively create value for its customers with a focus on improving the return on investment they make in its services or products. The award recognizes the company’s unique focus on augmenting the value that its customers receive, beyond simply good customer service, leading to improved customer retention and customer base expansion.

Frost & Sullivan Best Practices awards recognize companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating outstanding achievement and superior performance in areas such as leadership, technological innovation, customer service, and strategic product development. Industry analysts compare market participants and measure performance through in-depth interviews, analysis, and extensive secondary research to identify best practices in the industry.
