As demand for the company’s climate-resilient technology products grows, Sabanci’s investment and expertise will unlock opportunities in EMEA
SAN JOSE, Calif.– March 25, 2024 — AiDash, an enterprise SaaS company making critical infrastructure industries climate-resilient and sustainable with satellites and AI, today announced that Sabanci Climate Ventures, the Energy and Climate Technologies Venture Capital arm of Turkish industrial conglomerate Sabanci Holding, joined the company’s $50 million Series C funding round as a strategic investor. Sabanci Climate Ventures’ expertise in advancing value and opportunities across energy, utilities, and other sectors will be an essential part of AiDash’s long-term growth strategy.
Sabanci Climate Ventures is part of a growing number of investors, including Duke Energy, Lightrock, SE Ventures, G2 Venture Partners, Benhamou Global Ventures, National Grid Partners, Edison International, Shell Ventures, and additional strategic investors who have aligned with AiDash’s mission. As with previous investors, these new funds will be used to fuel growth.
“We see AiDash’s innovative technology having an incredibly positive impact on the EMEA market, as many parts of the region struggle to get ahead of climate-related risks,” said Murat Oguz Arcan, Managing Director at Sabanci Climate Ventures. “AiDash’s mission and its novel solutions align with our goals to help more companies become more climate-resilient, and we are thrilled to be a part of their journey.”
Sabanci Holding brings deep expertise in climate tech across the EMEA market, especially with its energy business including Enerjisa, which provides electricity to over 22 million people in Türkiye. With a strong sense of the needs of energy customers in EMEA, Sabanci can help AiDash immediately scale commercial opportunities beyond the UK, Belgium, Germany, and France, where the company already has established customers.
“Adding Sabanci Climate Ventures as an investor is an important step in helping AiDash scale and meet demand across the EMEA market, ” said Abhishek Singh, Co-founder and CEO of AiDash. “The team at Sabanci has incredible knowledge of critical infrastructure and the nuances and challenges that exist for customers across EMEA. Together, we strive to empower customers to become vigilant and more resilient in the fight against climate-related threats.”
As AiDash expands and establishes a headquarters in Europe, the investment and knowledge from Sabanci Climate Ventures is well-suited to help meet the surge in demand for AiDash’s suite of satellite-first products. Specifically, EMEA customers will benefit from AiDash climate-driven solutions including its Intelligent Vegetation Management System™ (IVMS™), which helps utilities identify and manage vegetation risks along rights-of-way; BNGAI™, which helps organizations manage biodiversity programs; Climate Risk Intelligence System™ (CRIS™) for accurate outage forecasting due to storms and wildfires; and Asset Inspection and Monitoring System™ (AIMS™), which helps utilities better manage their assets. These solutions enhance climate resilience, sustainability, and operational efficiency, leading to optimized O&M spend, improved reliability, and reduced weather-related incidents.
