Tsutomu (Tom) Nakano, Ph.D., is a Professor of Entrepreneurship, Organization, and Strategy at Aoyama Business School in Tokyo, where he teaches MBA courses in business planning, corporate strategy, and organizational theory. His work focuses on the application of generative AI in management, organizational networks and dynamics, and cross-cultural management from a global perspective. Prior to academia, he spent eight years in commercial and investment banking at Citibank and over a decade in U.S. academia. He has held visiting and affiliated positions at institutions including Columbia University, the University of Michigan, Copenhagen Business School, and the Max Planck Institute. He is the author of several publications, including Japanese Management in Evolution (Routledge, 2017), and holds a BA from Keio University, an MA from the University of Chicago, and a Ph.D. from Columbia University.
