Krishnendu (Krish) Chaudhury is the CTO and cofounder of Drishti Technolgies, Palo Alto. Funded by BGV and a16z, Drishti Technologies applies deep learning and computer vision based artificial intelligence to the world of manufacturing in pathbreaking new ways.
Prior to this, he was the Principal Scientist and Head of image sciences at Flipkart, India - applying deep learning to the world of e-commerce. He, along with his team, launched the visual search and recommendation of Flipkart. Krishnendu moved to Flipkart, India from Google Research, Mountain View, Machine Intelligence team. At Google, he has been the engineering leader of Google Newspaper Search from its inception to launch. He has also been the engineering leader of Google News Archives, WebP Image compression at various points during his tenure at Google. Overall, Krishnendu was with Google for 11 years. Prior to that he was with Adobe System, San Jose for 9 years - working for their Advanced Technology Group.
Krishnendu holds a PhD in computer vision from University of Kentucky at Lexington. He has about two dozen patents to his credit and has published in most reputed journals and conferences in computer vision.
