Co-founder & Chief Technical Officer of IdentityMind, Dan Kolkowitz has developed network technologies and distributed systems for over 25 years. A successful serial entrepreneur and founder, prior to co-founding IdentityMind, Dan was co-founder, CTO and VP of Operations at PlaySpan — a leading provider of payment systems and commerce platforms for virtual goods marketplaces that was recently sold to VISA.
Dan co-founded and was VP of Engineering for Swan Labs Inc., a leading vendor in WAN optimization acquired in 2005 by F5 Networks. Prior to Swan Labs, he co-founded Securify Inc., now part of McAfee.
In 1995 Dan co-founded Compact Devices, growing it into a forerunner in the field of network appliances. He also co-founded MobileAria, a wireless content provider to the automobile industry. Dan has been active in networking and security industry groups and standards organizations for over 20 years.
Dan earned a Masters in Computer Science from Stanford University where he managed several of the University’s key distributed computing projects and also lectured in the CS Dept.
